The central part of the practice where we prepare your pet for treatment
The preparation room or 'prep room' is a central part of the practice. This is because many procedures carried out on in-patients either occur or start off here.
The room's name comes from its function in preparing your pets for procedures. Whether this is radiography, surgery, blood sampling, bandaging, examination or medication; it's more than likely that your pet will pass through this room.
Our own on-site laboratory ensures fast and efficient analysis of blood samples. This is extremely useful to us in making diagnoses, but also in ensuring that patients are fit to undergo anaesthesia for elective procedures. Pets undergoing any kind of procedure requiring anaesthesia will receive it in the prep room.
All of the instruments required for operations are also prepared in here too.
